The Board of Directors
Geo Honigford

Geo Honigford served on the school board in Royalton for 13 years. He was appointed to be on the executive committee of the supervisory Union Board for eight of those years. He was elected onto the Vermont School Board Association (VSBA), and spent eight years on the board working on statewide educational issues. He served as president of the VSBA for two of those years, and represented Vermont at the National School Board Association. He recently retired as a farmer and currently works as a contractor. He lives in South Royalton with his wife Sharon.
Ken Fredette

Ken was raised in Rutland Town, and spent his teen years working with his uncles on their dairy farm in Center Rutland. Later in life he earned a living as a commercial diver, retiring in 2018.
He and his wife, Kate, have lived in Wallingford for the past 37 years, and raised their three children there. They live in an off-grid timber frame home that they helped design and build 14 years ago.
His community involvement includes 20 years as a school board member, including a term as president of the Vermont School Boards Association, and he was a charter member of the school board when the Mill River Unified Union School District was formed in 2016. He also served 15 years as Wallingford’s representative to the Rutland Regional Planning Commission, and volunteered at SolarFest for its first 20 years.
Adrienne Raymond

Adrienne Raymond was a long-time schoolboard member in both the Shrewsbury and the Mill River Unified Union School Districts. She is a strong supporter of VT’s public education system. All 3 of her sons have benefited from their public education as has she and her husband.
Greg Hughes

Greg Hughes was a long-time school board member from Bethel. Greg has a firsthand perspective of the strengths and weaknesses of Vermont’s education system. He spent the last 33 years of his career in the classroom with Vermont students while a faculty member at Vermont Technical College, where he was a professor and chair of the business department.
Krista Huling

Krista Huling is an educator and public servant who has made significant contributions to Vermont's educational system both in and out of the classroom. As a social studies teacher at South Burlington High School since 2010, she has taught various subjects including Humanities, U.S. History, and Women Studies, while also serving as the Chair of Vermont's State Board of Education where she played a key role in implementing Act 46. Her commitment to global education is evident through her extensive international experience, including leading multiple student trips to China through the Governor's Institute on Asian Cultures and organizing and participating in educational tours to Europe. With a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Vermont and involvement in local government, Krista has demonstrated her dedication to both education and civic engagement throughout her career. She lives in Cambridge with her husband and their daughter, who attends their local elementary school.
Neil Odell

Neil Odell has been a school board member in Norwich for over 15 years and has served as board president in both Norwich and Dresden (the interstate school district with Hanover, NH). He is also the immediate past president of the Vermont School Boards Association (VSBA), a position that he held for 4 years.

Neil has twin sons who attended Marion Cross school in Norwich VT as well as the middle and high schools in Hanover, NH. They are currently attending UVM and Champlain College. He lives with his wife Christine in Norwich VT.
